It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Season 14 Review

In our current world climate of political correctness for everything, the gang of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is back to return chaos and balance to society.

It’s Always Sunny follows the everyday lives of Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), Mac (Rob McElhenney), Charlie (Charlie Day), and Frank (Danny DeVito), as they collude and scheme around the city or from their bar, known as Paddy’s Pub.

This cult classic show, created by Rob McElhenney and Glenn Howerton, has returned for its 14th season, airing on FXX.

With a total of ten episodes, season 14 yet again tackles all of the current social hot topics that most shows are precautious of.… Keep reading

Doom Annihilation Review

When a research facility on Phobos, a moon orbiting Mars, sends a distress call and a marine squad is sent in with orders to investigate the situation, what appears to be a routine mission, turns into a much larger task as they unravel more than expected or prepared for.

Unrelated to Doom (2005), Doom: Annihilation (2019) follows similar premise, but unfortunately does not live up to the original. However, given the lower budget and scope for this film, it does succeed at delivering an enjoyable small story for what it ends up being, despite being filled with overly predictable plot points, stereotypical characters, and mediocre CGI.… Keep reading

Joker 2019 Review

Living in a chaotic Gotham City, Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) struggles to make ends meet, while caring for his mother (Frances Conroy) and attempting to make a career as a stand-up comedian. After having one bad day, Arthur finds himself and begins a path to self acceptance.

Writer and Director Todd Phillips, uses this popular DC villain to tackle a variety of social topics, which are seemingly quite relevant in our current times. Using this commentary, Joker helps audiences raise important questions, while giving a strong and impactful origin to such a beloved and mysterious character.… Keep reading

This review was written for Pop Culture Leftovers (PCL) and is featured as a Critic Review for PCL on Rotten Tomatoes. PCL was kind enough to allow me to showcase this review on my own website, but I encourage everyone to visit their site for reviews by other writers, and the Pop Culture Leftovers Podcast for which they are primarily known.
