JUMANJI: The Next Level Review

By Steven Redgrave

* Warning: Potential Spoilers*

Feeling that something is missing in his life, Spencer (Alex Wolff) restarts in Jumanji. When his friends Bethany (Madison Iseman), Fridge (Ser’Darius Blain), and Martha (Morgan Turner) discover the game console has been rebuilt, they go after him, starting another new adventure in Jumanji, but this time around they unknowingly bring some additional help from Eddie (Danny Devito) and Milo (Danny Glover).

Dwayne Johnson, Karen Gillan, Kevin Hart, Jake Black, and Nick Jonas all return to reprise their roles of the playable avatars within Jumanji, along with the addition of Awkwafina as an avatar named Ming Fleetfoot, a thief with her own set of skills and Rory McCann as the new villain of the film, Jurgen The Brutal.… Keep reading

Doom Annihilation Review

When a research facility on Phobos, a moon orbiting Mars, sends a distress call and a marine squad is sent in with orders to investigate the situation, what appears to be a routine mission, turns into a much larger task as they unravel more than expected or prepared for.

However, given the lower budget and scope for this film, it does succeed at delivering an enjoyable small story for what it ends up being, despite being filled with overly predictable plot points, stereotypical characters, and mediocre CGI.… Keep reading

Our Red Wedding

I know what you are thinking, but I can assure you that this “Red Wedding” played out much differently than that of Game of Thrones. Everyone who attended is still very much alive, at least, as far as we know.

But as I took time to really reflect on the experience this year, something felt entirely different. It took me some time to pinpoint what exactly it was. As my wife and I were making our way out to the parking garage, it finally dawned on me: the attendance.… Keep reading

PS Re-Vue

After trying a combination of cable, satellite, and streaming apps to access my favorite shows and sports teams (Let’s go Sharks!), it seemed hopeless to find a service that fit my specific needs. The media market is getting out of hand, even for those who have “cut the cord”. Every network seems to have a specific service to subscribe to, just to view one or two of their exclusive shows that might be deemed a must watch by society. That is where PS Vue came into play.

 I have known about PlayStation Vue for some time now, but I never gave it much thought.… Keep reading
